How do I listen to your podcasts?

The most effective way to consume podcasts is by downloading your podcast app of choice, and then searching our podcast my show title. You can also just search “LSG MEDIA” in your podcast app and all our shows should pop up.

When do you record and release episodes?

What’s the best way to support LSG media?

The answer here is simple: in whatever way you feel most comfortable. Our preference is that you consider the great membership options that we have. Plans start at $5 a month and go up from there. Each tier offers different rewards. Donations are also available and we would be grateful for any consideration.

Why don’t you advertise to make more cash?

The be completely honest we’ve never been approached with an offer that was enticing enough for us to interrupt our podcasts with a pitch for someone else’s product. We have gotten a handful of offers over the years, and every once in a while we will advertise something for free, but like the rest of you we are tired of hearing the same adverts over and over again.

How come I can’t join membership with my Pay Pal account?

This is a great question. It’s because we didn’t find Pay Pal’s terms favorable when it came to recurring payments and the potential for chargebacks. You can still use Pay Pal to purchase merchandise and to donate.

Why not use Patreon as your member support service?

Patreon was a great service for us in the early days, but as they grew we thought it best to retain greater control over our clients under our own brand. Something with a more personal touch. There is still plenty to like with Patreon, and they are worth a look if you are just starting out and looking for a way to easily fund your creative endeavors.

Where is my welcome email?

You will get an email order confirmation when you join, and you should get an email with a link to the bonus feed, private Facebook group, and other membership details. We are hearing from new members that this email is landing in their “promotions” tab (gmail). If you don’t see it there, or you use another service and don’t see it, make sure your order is complete, double-check spam settings, and then send us an email dean(at)libertystreetgeek(dot)net and we will get it over to you.

Can I share my membership access?

Sadly you can not. Only one device may have access to the bonus feed at a time. We do encourage you to pop on the speaker phone and enjoy the hilarity together, but just be careful who else is in the room. Sometimes the crew gets a little filthy.

Can I gift a membership?

Yes you can! Just tick the box that indicates this is a gift. You then will be prompted to enter the recipient’s email address.

Can I listen to The Lost Drive-In: After Hours (bonus episodes) on the website?

Our distribution of the members-only podcast (named – “LDI: After Hours”) can only be appropriately controlled via the private feed that members get when they join. That means you need a compatible podcast app (see below) to properly listen to our episodes. We also do not offer hard copies (mp3, etc.) of our episodes. Only active members have access to bonus content. If you cancel your membership your access to the LDI: After Hours is revoked at the end of the billing cycle. You can, however, watch your member-only videos on the website.

What podcasting apps are compatible with the bonus episodes?

Once you become a member you will get an invitation email to join the private rss feed. The email will contain a list of compatible podcast apps as detailed below. Spotify does not support private podcasting at this time.

How does the member vote work?

Each month you’ll get an email from Jon. Make sure you’re membership is up to date and we aren’t hitting your spam folder. Once you get that email – the polls are open. There will be a link in the email that you can follow to cast your vote. Remember, your power at the poll is based on your membership level. Acolytes 1, Emissaries 2, and Imperators 3.

How do I get those sweet stickers?

If you are an Emissary or Imperator you will get a sticker pack sent to your shipping address shortly after you become a member. We do ship internationally. Please make sure your shipping address on your account is up to date and in the correct fields (looking at you England!). Please remember to show off your sweet sticker pack by tagging us on your socials!

What is the Imperator Quarterly Raffle all about?

Once upon a time LSG Media had something called bounties. It was a system of commissioning us to cover movies that you wanted covered. We have since done away with that program, but we have reincarnated it somewhat for our Imperator members. Once per quarter all active Imperators are tossed into a raffle and we draw one name. The lucky winner gets a de facto bounty. This means they get to pick a movie for us to cover on our LDI: After Hours bonus feed.

Can I put my membership on hold?

No. But you are not under any obligation to renew your membership. That said: if financial hardship is your concern please email us before cancelling. We may have a creative solution for you.

Does my membership auto-renew?

It does, but you can still cancel your membership before the renewal date. The reason for this is simple: it is impossible to run this business on manual renewals. Most clients would forget to do it, most clients don’t want to manage renewals, and we certainly don’t have the capacity to manage this option, and it would be impossible to project our budget with any reliability.

How do I cancel my membership?

Just follow this menu path on this website: my account (you must be logged in) >> my subscription >>cancel. Once you cancel your current membership will not be billed again. Your benefits will expire at the end of the billing cycle. You’ll get a confirmation email with an anonymous survey. Please take a moment to fill it out. Remember: if you have a financial hardship please email us before you cancel and maybe we can help you out. It’s tough out there for most people – we get it.

Merchandise FAQs

Do you make your own t-shirts?

Yes and no. Butters (also known as Jon) handles all our art and branding. He’s a talented fellow. The t-shirts themselves are handled through print-on-demand over at Printful. When you buy a shirt they fulfill the order and send it to you. This hands-off approach was the best solution for us, and they have excellent quality threads. This approach is a bit more costly for us, and our markup (and sales trends) barely covers cost – especially with member discounts. Our goal was to get cool t-shirts out to our loyal listeners. The profit margin is slim at best.

Wait, so members get discounts on t-shirts?

That’s right. Acolytes get 10%. Emissaries get 15%. Imperators get a whopping 20%! Your account has to be active and in good standing for the discount to apply. You do not have to do anything extra at checkout. The store will handle the discount for you. Remember to tag us on your socials to show off your sweet new threads.

Why are certain sizes not always available?

In the post-Covid world businesses like Printful saw a significant impact in production and shipping. Please be patient with the stock availability on shirts. Remember: this is print-on-demand. There are no shelves full of pre-made shirts waiting around to be sent.

What if my shirt order is wrong?

Well, we don’t want that! The reality is that will happen once in a while. If it does simply email us and give us your order number and we will look into it for you and provide you with a solution. That could mean a refund or a replacement product.

Where the heck is my t-shirt order?

Once you purchase the t-shirt in our store you will get a confirmation email from us. Once Printful fulfills the order and ships it we will provide that confirmation email (with tracking) to you. Please allow for extra time around the holidays.
