About Us
In a quaint, triple-decker walk-up in southeastern Massachusetts, a podcasting odyssey began in 2013. Armed with nothing but an Audio Technica AT2020, a trusty MacBook Pro, and GarageBand, Dean embarked on a solo venture dubbed the Liberty Street Geek Podcast. The audio might have been a bit rough around the edges, but the show’s soul—brimming with passion for movies and The Walking Dead—shone through. A novice in the podcasting realm, Dean quickly discovered he could ramble with the best of them, spinning tales for 30 to 45 minutes – solo – at a stretch. A fleeting thought of a co-host entered in his mind, only to be swiftly dismissed by his fiercely independent streak—until Matthew Anderson swaggered into the picture.
The year 2014 marked a significant shift: the birth of the Science Fiction Film Podcast and The Walking Dead Podcast, with Matthew joining the fray. Jessica hopped aboard too, and Liberty Street Geek streamlined its name to the sleek, punchy LSG Media. What followed was a whirlwind of cinematic banter, irreverent humor, and sharp insights that became the hallmark of LSG’s enduring charm.
The journey unfolded like a sci-fi epic itself—new shows sprouted, hosts came and went, and the LSG universe expanded. From Game of Thrones to Stranger Things, Westworld to Battlestar Galactica, the podcast empire grew, fueled by a loyal legion of listeners and a creative spark that refused to flicker out. Johnny “Butters” lent his artistic flair to the show, while the innovative Bounty System let listeners commission their favorite flicks. The Patreon page rose and fell, and the shadowy membership program, the LSG Media Illuminati, took root. The Great Website Crash of 2022 tested their mettle, wiping their revenue clean—yet LSG Media rose from the digital ashes, bolder than ever.
Through it all—the launches, the farewells, the triumphs, and the reboots—LSG Media has remained a beacon of entertaining, no-holds-barred commentary, with a powerfully loyal group of listeners. Here’s the tale, year by year, host by host, podcast by podcast:

The Great Website Crash of 2022
Our old website was lost and we deleted it and made a new one, the one you are currently reading. I tried to work with tech support to resolved the issue, but we had no luck. As a result of this loss our entire revenue stream went kaput. If you’ve listened to the podcast over the years you are aware that we do not advertise and we strictly rely on the community for support. That meant our income went to $0 in the blink of an eye. The good news: we’ve rebuilt and we are well on our way to regaining and surpassing our former glory because of the incredible community that has sprung up around our podcasts. We are forever in your debt.
